Comprehensive Facility Evaluation: Detailed testing and monitoring of stand-alone and operational voltages.
Rigorous Equipment Testing: Products must meet our strict threshold.
Manufacturer Collaboration: Joint efforts to enhance product designs for maximum electrical cleanliness
The dairy industry is an ideal testing ground for evaluating the impact of stray voltage. Measurable changes in dairy cattle, such as productivity, water and feed intake, and somatic cell counts, can appear within just two weeks of exposure.

This matters because stray voltage affects all living creatures, not just livestock. Its significance and impact are well documented in numerous technical and scientific studies.
This is where Zero Tolerance and Current Defense were able to refine and perfect their approach.
Let’s protect your farm—and everything that depends on it.

John Hoefert is the visionary Founder and Chief Analyst of Zero Tolerance. With over two decades of hands-on experience in electrical noise mitigation on dairy farms, John is a true pioneer in the field. His journey began at D&R Electric, where he gained invaluable insights into the challenges faced by farmers due to electrical noise interference. It was during this time that John recognized the urgent need for innovative solutions to tame this noise and optimize farm operations.
In 2003, John graduated from electrical trade school, marking the beginning of his formal training in the field. Two years later, he wired his first dairy farm—a pivotal experience that showcased the full impact of uncontrolled electrical noise on both animal health and equipment functionality. Driven by a desire to make a difference, John developed a comprehensive process to effectively mitigate electrical noise, laying the groundwork for the inception of Zero Tolerance in 2015.
Today, John’s leadership, analytical skills, and mastery of electrical systems continue to guide Zero Tolerance towards new heights of success. His relentless commitment to innovation, and his unwavering dedication to improving farm sustainability, have cemented his reputation as a visionary leader in the agricultural industry.
